Most heliskiing operations have multiple groups using a single helicopter. Not at Tyax, where guests revel in the fact that their group is the only one using the heli! This translates to much less waiting and more skiing. To top it off, all packages include Unlimited Vertical. That is where guests do not incur additional charges to ski more once they’ve skied more than the guaranteed amount of skiing in each package. Awesome.

With a short 2.5-hour ground transfer from Vancouver (YVR) airport, followed by a 20-minute helicopter flight, international guests arrive at Tyax Lodge with ease and plenty of time to relax prior to hitting the slopes the following morning.

Tyax’s 830,000 acres of ski terrain lies in a transition zone between the Coastal Mountains and the dry rolling Fraser Plateau in the South Chilcotin Mountains. This area provides magnificent landscapes, an abundance of dry snow and plenty of sunshine. With an average run vertical of 750 meters and dozens of runs over 1,000 meters, skiing 7,000-10,000 meters a day is common at Tyax.
At Tyax, your safety and comfort is never sacrificed. Regardless of group size (4-10 guests) we fly Bell 212 helicopters with just a single group in each helicopter. These agile twin engine rotary machines provide additional safety and offer spacious cabins for guests to rest between each incredible ski run. The maximum number of helicopters flying during any given week is only four; guests will rarely see another group or aircraft during their days in the alpine.

Group Packages
With our Unlimited Single Group packages you’ll enjoy single group heliskiing and guaranteed vertical, with no limits. This is the Tyax promise.
At Tyax, each helicopter, pilot, and two guides are dedicated solely to one group for the entire duration of their stay. Single group means more skiing, less waiting, and more flexibility.
Our guests come to ski a ton of vertical. We safely provide a premium heliskiing experience and deliver all the skiing we can, day after day. You never pay more for additional turns, and if poor weather or other issues beyond our control result in not meeting our guaranteed vertical, a refund will be issued.
